When Cortona Sings: Choralia 2026 Celebrates Saint Francis Through Music, Light and Tradition – April 24–26, 2026

Choralia Cortona 2026: three days of music in the heart of Tuscany

From April 24 to 26, 2026, Cortona will become an open-air stage dedicated to choral music, hosting the third edition of Choralia Cortona.

The event, promoted by Proloco Cortona and Fabrica Harmonica, takes on an even deeper meaning this year: it will be dedicated to the figure of Saint Francis, marking the 800th anniversary of his death. A spiritual and cultural thread will run through the entire program, creating a dialogue between music, history, and place.

For three days, the historic center of Cortona will welcome choirs, musicians, and enthusiasts from different backgrounds, bringing the town to life with concerts, workshops, and moments of shared experience. Among the planned activities, special attention will be given to workshops on medieval lauda, choral performances, and guided visits to the Library of Cortona, all strengthening the connection between music and tradition.

Choralia is not just a musical event, but an experience: an opportunity to discover the city in an authentic way, through its squares, its churches, and its light—where every note helps create an atmosphere of connection and beauty.
